2015 Fly Rod Cellars Trico Cabernet Franc

29.00

The second offering from Fly Rod Cellars, Trico is a tasty Cabernet Franc from the esteemed Dineen Vineyard in the Yakima Valley. Aromatics of ripe strawberries, blueberries, licorice, and incense. Medium to full-bodied, smooth and refined tannins lead into a mouthful of flavors including roasted red peppers, raspberry, plum, strawberry, and spices.

Fermented on the skins for ten days with daily punchdowns to help develop flavor, color, and mouthfeel. Free run juice was pumped off the skins, which were then gently pressed. Once in barrels, the wine completed malolactic fermentation and was tasted frequently to monitor flavor development.
