Recent reviews and awards

Sip Magazine, Best of the Northwest:

  • 2018 Virga: Double Gold (this was the second best Rhone' style red wine in the entire judging)

The Wine Panel:

  • 2019 Fly Rod Cellars Turcks Tempranillo: 91 Points
"Only 86 cases of this delicious Tempranillo were crafted from fruit sourced from the Upland Vineyard on Snipes Mountain. After oak aging 22 months in expensive Seguin Moreau puncheons, 18% new, the wine tastes more like a prestigious release from Ribera del Duero than from a tiny winery located in North Bend, Washington. Expect a well-balanced, toasty wine with considerable depth and color, with both black and red fruits and a hint of vanilla and sarsaparilla on the elegant, polished long creamy finish."

Great Northwest Wine Magazine, Platinum Awards:

  • 2018 Virga: Platinum, 93 Points
"Snoqualmie Valley winemaker Scott Greenberg uses this Southern Rhone blend from a trio of acclaimed sites to pick off his fourth Platinum in the past five years.  He leads with Mourvedre (48%) off Weinbau, Syrah (36%) from Gamache and Grenache via Ciel du Cheval.  It's a dollop of Marionberry jam, a slice of cherry pie and a cellar-worthy supply of structure that's capped by mocha and black olive."
